Four teenagers remain at Strong Hospital after a Tuesday night crash in East Bloomfield.

It happened around 6 p.m. on Pond Road near the intersection of Route 444. Investigators believe speeding was a factor in the crash. Seven teenagers were in the car. None of them were wearing seatbelts. The Ontario County Sheriff's office says Alexander Brown, 19, lost control of his pickup truck and it rolled several times. It landed upright on the shoulder of Pond Road. Brown has been treated and released from F.F. Thompson Hospital.

Joshua Bock, 18, was also treated and released from F.F. Thompson Hospital. Hailey Dewey, 15, is at Strong Hospital in satisfactory condition. Jessica Henry, 17, and Joelle Henry, 17, are both in guarded condition at Strong. Morgan Henry, 16, was released Wednesday morning. Meagan Henry, 13, is in guarded condition. Investigator Greg Shaeffer says he hopes this accident sends a message to young drivers.

"Young people feel invincible and a motor vehicle is three or four-thousand pounds and it's a lot of energy. It can certainly be a weapon traveling down the road," he said. "We are looking at maybe some distraction if it's not cell phone or the radio. We got a lot of kids in there communicating back and forth and that's not the time to be doing that. You really need to pay attention."

Police say drugs and alcohol do no appear to be a factor. Investigators are looking at the driver's cell phone, but at this point they don't think he was texting and driving.
