Three teens were taken to the hospital after a crash in Medina early Sunday morning

The accident happened on State Street in the village of Medina just after 12:30 a.m. A 16-year-old was transported to Medina Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. A 14-year-old passenger was taken by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center. Firefighters worked for 30 minutes to free the car's 18-year-old driver. A second helicopter took him to the medical center as well. Police believe speeding played a factor in the crash.
