Over one hundred area kids participated in a unique robotics event Saturday.

The "Senior Solutions Challenge" Robotics Competition was held at McQuid High School. It was one of five qualifying competitions happening in our area.  Teams had to design robots able to complete tasks in two and a half minutes.

All tasks were based on everyday problems senior citizens might face.

Winners of Saturday's competitions will go on to the regional competition at the University of Rochester.
