You can help make the holidays a little brighter for the victims of Superstorm Sandy, thanks to efforts started by our local firefighters.

The North Greece Fire Department first provided relief on Long Island immediately after the storm.

This is video our crews shot of firefighters going door to door to check on families in Freeport, in Nassau County.

Four different teams have made the trip since that time.

The Town of Greece, the Greece Central School District, and several other agencies are now joining in the effort to fill a truck full of supplies.

They are collecting new books, new toys, pet food, pet supplies, and canned food.

You can help by dropping off donations at ten sites throughout Greece, click here for the list.

The drive will continue through early December.
