Jury Selection To Begin in Second McKenzie Trial

By: WROC-TV
Updated: November 12, 2012
Jury selection in the new trial of a Rochester man previously convicted of stabbing his girlfriend to death is expected to begin Tuesday.

The State Court of Appeals overturned Donyell McKenzie's murder conviction earlier this year. The court said the jury in his first trial was not allowed to consider a lesser charge of manslaughter when he was convicted. McKenzie was sent to prison for the stabbing death of Tyffany Porter, 23. Porter was stabbed multiple times on Rosewood Terrace in December 2006.
