A Rochester woman is now charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a man to death over the weekend in the city's 19th Ward neighborhood.

Tanisha Davis, 26, is charged with second-degree murder. Rochester Police say she stabbed Montreall Wright, 35, at a home on Sawyer Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Wright was taken to Strong Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police are not sure of the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Davis will be arraigned in Rochester City Court on Tuesday. Wright's death is the 36th homicide of the year.
