Hundreds Take "Fight for Air" Climb at Baush and Lomb Building

The American Lung Association held it's first ever "Fight for Air" climb Satuday. Almost a hundred people climbed over 450 steps to get to the 20th floor of the Bausch and Lomb building downtown.

The event was to raise money for lung disease awareness, education, and research. The American Lung Association says over two and a half million people are affected by lung disease which is why this is so important.

"People are doing it for a number of reasons, they have loved ones who have passed away from lung cancer or they know someone who is close to them who has COPD or asthma so we're very excited to have people here today," says Bonnie Webster with the American Lung Association.

Saturday's event had multiple sponsors including Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield and Key Bank and they raised over $20,000.
