Golden Goal Lifts Titans to Sectional Title

With just over a minute remaining in the second overtime, Nicole Gerritz broke free from the defense before tucking a shot into the corner, lifting (3) Webster Thomas to the Section V Class AA Final with a 3-2 win over (2) Hilton.
Gerritz also netted the first goal of the game less than five minutes after kickoff. Julie Episcopo scored midway through the first half to put the Titans up 2-0.
Hilton rallied back thanks to goals from Courtney Robertson and Rachel Uhrich that tied the game early in the second half.
With the win, Webster Thomas will take on (5) Churchville-Chili in the Class AA Championship on Tuesday, November 6th at Webster Schroeder.
