Monroe County Activates Emergency Preparedness Office

County Executive Maggie Brooks acitvated Monroe County's Emergency Prepardness Office in response to Sandy.

Brooks says the office will open Monday morning at 10 a.m.

Eighteen agencies from throughout the area will provide staff to the office on Scottsville Road.

Brooks is encouraging residents to make sure drains and the edges of streets are clear of leaves. This is allow street drains to function properly.

The county is also offering sand bags to people who live along the lake shore. As of right now, Webster is the only town that has requested help.
