A group of homeowners is suing the Town of Irondequoit over a controversial boating law.

The lawsuit says the town's new boating ordinance is illegal and it should be considered null and void.

The current law prohibits boats from being anchored within 300 feet of the Lake Ontario shoreline.  The case is due back in court in December.
