Legionnaire's Test Results Expected By Week's End

Updated: October 24, 2012
Health officials and residents at the Seneca Towers are expecting to hear test results from the health department after Legionnaire's disease infected two residents.

Meanwhile, concerns continue for residents of the apartment buidling. It has been nearly two weeks and residents in the Seneca Towers are still not allowed to take a hot shower. Two people in the building became ill with Legionnaire's this year. That is when the health department found the bacteria in the water. Both people are recovering. Residents are allowed to bathe and wash dishes, but they cannot use the shower because inhaling the mist is how the bacteria is transmitted.

The New York State Health Department is expected to have its test results by Friday.
