Fair and Expo Center held the 46th annual Rochester Gem, Mineral, Jewelry, and Fossil Show

The Fair and Expo Center held the 46th annual Rochester Gem, Mineral, Jewelry, and Fossil Show Saturday.
The show is sponsored by the Rochester Academy of Science Mineral Section and the Rochester Lapidary Society.
Their goal is to educate visitors about mineralogy, geology, and lapidary. The Expo's Chairman, Jim Redden, says this year's turnout has been successful.
"We have a very good turn out. We have a couple thousand people show up each year. A number of children come, boy scouts and girls scouts come. We have people locally and from out of the area - Buffalo, Syracuse, Pennsylvania," he says.
In case you missed it, the Expo also runs Sunday between 10 a.m and 5 p.m.
