Two Roberts Wesleyan seniors had to come up with a service project for one of their classes. They learned about an organization called "Alex's Lemonade Stand" through a classmate who battled cancer herself.
On Friday the students sold lemonade and baked goods on campus to raise money for the cause. Rya Lichtenstein is a Roberts Wesleyan Student and she says, "raising awareness about how popular this disease actually is, and hopefully people just do something to help others in their lives."
Alex's lemonade stand has raised more than 55 million dollars nationwide.
