Greece Police Officer Injured In Fight With Accused Candy Thief

A Greece Police officer was injured after a fight with a man accused of stealing candy from a gas station.

Police were called to the Hess gas station on West Ridge Road for the report of a theft. An officer spotted a man that fit the description of the robbery suspect. When the officer stopped the man to question him, a fight ensued. The officer suffered cuts and abrasions and was treated at the hospital. Neither the officer's name or the suspect's name have been released.
