Slaughter Campaign Cited For Second Violation of Fair Election Practices

By: WROC-TV
Updated: October 15, 2012
The Fair Election Practices Committee has cited the Slaughter campaign for the second time for presenting what they deem to be inaccurate information in her campaign ads.

Slaughter's Republican challenger, County Executive Maggie Brooks, filed a complaint with the committee for the second time last week. The complaint stems from a campaign mailer sent out by the Slaughter campaign that accuses Brooks of being responsible for several "ethical lapses." The committee ruled that several of the details inside the mailer were inaccurate and overreaching.
