Wolcott Man Arrested For Sex Crimes

State Police say a Wolcott man has been arrested on sex crimes. 

Troopers say Joseph Maxey, 44, has been charged with sexual assault and rape. 

State Police say Maxey was arrested at his home on Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued by a town judge. 

Troopers say Maxey had sexual contact with female children who were 12 and 14. 

The crimes started in 2007 and continued for 4 years.  Troopers say all of the abuse occurred in the Clyde area. 

Maxey was arraigned in town court and he was sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail.
