One of the men indicted for the murder of a Rochester man in January pleaded not guilty in court Friday.

Darius Bursey, 23, was arraigned on murder and weapons possession charges. A grand jury indicted Bursey and Van Cotton, 22, for the murder of Lamar Shahid, 18, on Columbia Avenue. Police say Shahid was shot inside his home.

Bursey will be back in court October 19th. Cotton has a case pending in North Carolina and will be extradited to New York once that case is settled.
