Veterans Place Homicide Case To Go To Grand Jury

The case against a Rochester man charged in the shooting death of his nephew will now go before a grand jury.

Vinh Phan, 54, is charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. The deadly shooting happened Saturday night on Veterans Place, in the city's South Wedge neighborhood. Viet Ho Tai, 32, was shot several times inside his car. He died on scene.

Phan is due back in court at a later date.
