Two Indicted For Columbia Ave. Homicide

Two Rochester men have been indicted for the winter murder of an 18-year-old man on the city's west side.

The Monroe County District Attorney's office announced grand jury indictments against Darius Bursey, 23, and Van Cotton, 22, for the murder of Lamar Shahid. Shahid was shot inside a home on Columbia Avenue in the middle of the afternoon back in January. He died at Strong Hospital.

Both Bursey and Cotton are charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted, they face 25 years to life in prison.
