It reports that the need in the 10-county region has more than tripled.
Last Thanksgiving, it's partner agencies reported that 6-thousand families needed help.
This season, it has jumped to 20,000 families.
Foodlink says the demand shows that the economy hasn't fully recovered and that many people are employed but taking jobs that don't pay well.
Therefore, it's reaching out to the community to help raise $40,000 by Friday.
It's collected $16,000 so far but needs the extra money to help feed the extra families expected this holiday season.
The non-profit says $16 can feed a family of four an entire Thanksgiving meal.
That includes a turkey and all of the trimmings.
The organization is also working to provide local produce to families as well.

The drive ends on Friday, but Foodlink says it will continue to collect money throughout the season.
