There has been nationwide reports of infections and deaths from fungal meningitis, which the CDC has linked to batches of epidural steroids given to back patients. The Rochester Brain & Spine Center is one of three places in New York State that received the the tainted steroids. Dr. Roger Ng says the center has sent letters and called 350 people who could have been affected between July 1st and September 26th.
Symptoms of meningitis include headache, fever, stiff neck and light sensitivity.
