Ross turned himself in for arrest on Friday at the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.
Greece Police say the investigation began internally when they received a report of criminal misconduct. After consulting with the Monroe County D.A., the case was turned over the Sheriff's Department.
Ross has been with the department for seven years.
He is accused of serving alcohol to an 18 year old male on 3 separate occasions.
It allegedly happened in Irondequoit.
Police Chief Todd Baxter says absolute transparency in the case is important given the departments troubled past. The former chief and two former officers are currently serving time in unrelated cases, "of all places, in Greece, we're trying to build back our trust, so when we have a mistake made like this, or potential mistake that's made, just for the integrity of the police department we have to make sure we do it right, and by the book," says Baxter.
Baxter says an internal investigation is underway. It is expected to wrap up in about two weeks.
