Kodak slashed more jobs just days ago, but Kodak CEO Antonio Perez is painting an optimistic picture for the company.

In an exclusive interview with PrintWeek, Perez dismissed the idea that Kodak won't be able to emerge from bankruptcy. He said "I can't even tell you the amount of call I get from CEOs asking what was going on because the press has presented this like it was the demise of Kodak, which was wrong to do that."

Perez said bankruptcy was necessary to help Kodak make the transition to a business-to-business company. He predicts Kodak will emerge from bankruptcy by the middle of next year.
