Their feet were hurting, and their balance was a little off, but it was all for a good cause; a chance for men to step up and fight domestic violence.
"Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" gave students and staff a chance to relax and smile for the first time since Alex Kogut's death. Many wore the color purple for their classmate whose life ended too soon.
It was the perfect remedy for some students who needed to express their grief in a different way.
For SUNY Brockport, life is slowly getting back to normal. Alex's friends say that is what she would have wanted.
