Man Charged in Murder of SUNY Brockport Student

The victim's mother requested a well being check after she couldn't reach her daughter by phone last night. What campus police discovered is shocking.
The victims body was found in a room at McLean hall on the campus of SUNY Brockport between 1 and 2:30 Saturday morning.
21 year old Clayton Whittemore of New Hartford, New York is charged in the case.
Police say they took Whittemore into custody around 3:30 Saturday morning at a rest stop in Dewitt, New York.
Police say Whittemore was dating the victim, who they say, was brutally murdered.
Whittemore was arraigned at 3 Saturday afternoon in Sweden, New York.
He walked silently into the courthouse, with his feet and hands shackled.
Once in side he said little more than, "yes," and, "no," to Judge Robert Connors.
According to the felony complaint Whittemore admitted to intentionally causing the death of the victim by inflicting multiple injuries.
Whittemore pleaded not guilty and is being held without bond in the Monroe County Jail.
After the arraignment, Whittemore, crying, did not give any reason for allegedly committing the crime.
Whittemore will be back in court on October 4th at 1 p.m. for his preliminary hearing.
