Hilton's starting quarterback Dustin Logory was on the bench. The Cadets were trailing 28-21 at Webster Schroeder against a Warrior team that was playing to save its season on its homecoming.

Things were not looking good.

Enter Jack Anten.

The backup QB came off the bench and led the Cadets to consecutive scoring drives as Hilton escaped with a 35-28 win. Anten scored the game winning TD on a 17 yard run with under two minutes left in the game.

Schroeder trailed by seven at the half, but recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half. Earl Blackmon cashed in the turnover with a two yard touchdown run and the Warriors were even at 21.

Schroeder forced a punt and Jake Guy got the Warriors in front. Guy's thundering 43 yard run moved Schroeder down to the one and he scored on the next play to give Webster a 28-21 lead.

Logory was injured on the next possession. After an exchange of punts, Anten went to work. A 20 yard option keeper got Hilton near the Warrior 20 yard line. On the second snap of the fourth quarter, Derek Richards capped the drive with a four yard TD off tackle and Hilton was tied again.

Guy answered with a 41 yard pass to Ryan Harris that moved Schroeder to the Hilton 25. However, a Jacob Brickler sack stuck the Warriors in a 3rd and 16. Guy rushed twice and came up two yards short with Hilton taking over on their own 16.

Anten then guided the Cadets on an 84 yard drive that ate over six minutes off the clock. His game winning run came with 100 seconds left to play.

Richards led Hilton with 222 yards rushing and three scores.

Guy had a monster game for Schroeder with 260 yards passing and 110 rushing. He had two TDs on the ground and one in the air.

The win moves Hilton to 4-1. Schroeder suffers their third one-score loss of the season and is now maybe the best 1-4 in the history of Section Five football.
