Judge Hands Down Decision On Questionable Ballots in DA Race

After a judge's ruling, there is only one ballot that may determine who the winner is in the Republican primary for Livingston County District Attorney.
Candidates Eric Schiener and Steve Sessler both contested ballots in the race, and the case was brought in front of Supreme Court Justice John Ark. Six ballots were the subject of dispute, and the judge admitted three of them to be counted. Two of those ballots are in favor of Sessler, which brings total of number of votes to 1881 for Sessler and 1880 for Schiener. The last ballot has not yet been unsealed. One ballot was thrown out and two absentee ballots are remaining sealed.
If the unsealed ballot leads to a tie, then the nominee will be chosen by the Livingston County Republican Committee. Those three ballots will officially be counted on Monday at 9 a.m.
