U.S. Attorney's Office Fighting Against Prescription Drugs

People can drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs at various DEA-operated sites across western New York. Hochul says one in six teens have used prescription drugs not prescribed by their doctor.
"If we remove this possible source of additions and future grief, I think we will leave this community a better place," Hochul said.
At the last initiative in April, local DEA officials disposed of 12,000 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs, the highest collection amount in the country.
The will be several no-cost "Nation Take Back Day" collection events Saturday September 29th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations:
Wegmans Holt Road Store ONLY - 900 Holt Road in Webster (Collection hours are from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Fairport Police Department - 31 South Main Street
East Rochester Police Department - 254 West Ivy Street
Greece Police Department - 400 Island Cottage Road
Gates Police Department - 1605 Buffalo Road
Webster Wastewater Treatment Plant - 226 Phillips Road
Brighton Police Department - 2300 Elmwood Avenue
