Police are investigating a body that was found at a recycling plant Wednesday morning.

The Wayne County Undersheriff says the body of a middle-aged man was discovered by workers at the Alpco Recycling Center around 10:30 a.m. The man has not been identified. The body was discovered after it was unloaded from a Clean Way truck. The undersheriff says the truck primarily compresses cardboard and picks up recyclables between Rochester and Pittsford. Investigators are not calling the death suspicious at this time.

Rochester Police are canvassing the Monroe Avenue area in the event that the body may be connected to a crime that may have occurred. The Alpco Recycling Center is being considered a crime scene. The Monroe County Sheriff's office is assisting in the investigation.
