A former Hillside youth worker facing charges for having sex with a teenager was arraigned in county court Wednesday.

Matthew King, 29, pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child. Court documents say King had sex with a 15-year-old boy in a number of places, including inside a van and a laundry room. It is not clear from the documents if any of the abuse happened at Hillside. Hillside says King passed a number of background checks and never raised any flags.

King will be back in court on November 7th. His trial is set to begin in February.
