I-Phone 5 Sales Are Record for Apple

By: WROC-TV
Updated: September 24, 2012
A new I-Phone means new sales records for Apple, but Wall Street doesn't appear to be satisfied. Apple announced more than five million I-Phone 5's were sold since the device hit stores Friday.

That's a million more than the I-Phone 4's sold in its first weekend. Despite the frenzy, investors viewed the opening weekend as somewhat of a disappointment.

Wall Street analysts had anticipated the sales figure to be closer to six million, but Apple's CEO said he was pleased with the results.
