Police Investigate a Suspicious Death

The Rochester Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a woman Saturday evening.
Police say they were called to a home on East Avenue at 5:19 p.m. They found a 47-year-old woman dead with a gun shot wound. The caller was a 53-year-old man that found the woman.
Police are investigating the incident and an autopsy is being conducted by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's office.
No names are being released at this time.
