Locals To Recieve Carnegie Medal Award

Three people from the Rochester area are receiving the Carnegie Medal.
The award is given to people who risk their lives to save another.
Mustafa Said of Henrietta and Chris Patino helped save a girl who was stabbed inside the Calkins Road Wegmans in Henrietta.
Nicole Bean suffered severe injuries to her eye and other parts of her body when she was stabbed inside the store.
Both Said and Patino heard Bean screaming for help and then subdued her attacker. Matthew Schribner of Palmyra is also being recognized for rescuing another kayakyer from Ganargua Creek.
