Dan Mason Named IL Executive Of The Year

Rochester Red Wings General Manager Dan Mason is getting some high honors from the International League.
He has been named International League Executive of the Year. 14 teams in the league cast one vote at the Triple-A Fall Meetings in Durham, North Carolina.
The Red Wings and Frontier Field hosted 110 regular season games this past season, including 38 "home" games for the Empire State Yankees.
Their stadium is undergoing renovation and they needed a place to play their home games.
To accommodate the Yankee players, coaches, and staff a third clubhouse was built at Frontier Field. This year Frontier Field also hosted a game featuring Yankee pitcher Andy Pettitte.
That game drew a record 13,584 fans to Frontier Field. Mason joined the Red Wings in 1990 and became its general manager in 1995.
