Christy Blough led McQuaid with 15 kills, 12 assists and five blocks. Colby Harriman chipped in 14 kills.
Brannon Perdicho had a match-high 23 kills for Victor.
The teams split the first two sets with identical 25-21 scores. Perdicho's kill finished a 25-23 3rd set win for Victor. The match was really decided in the 4th set.
The set was tight throughout. McQuaid had chances to win at 24-23 and 25-24. Victor's moment came at 26-25, but they couldn't finish the Knights off. After consecutive McQuaid points, Perdicho again came up big--inch for inch, he was the best player on the floor--to tie the set at 27. However, Victor's next spike went wide and a Blue Devil ball handling violation finished a 29-27 McQuaid set win.
The Knights came out quickly in the final set, establishing an 11-4 lead and never letting up. Victor only got as close as five points once. Tucker Witter's kill finished the match.
McQuaid is the two time New York State champ at Division 1. Victor holds the same distinction at Division 2.
