Monroe County Sheriffs Honors Its Fallen

By: WROC-TV
Updated: September 18, 2012
The Monroe County Sheriff's office took time to remember some of its own.

A fallen deputy memorial was held Tuesday in downtown Rochester. Several officers laid a wreath at a monument in front of the Hall of Justice. Three fallen officers were honored. Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn says it is easy to forget the past, but this service is a special way for officers to pay tribute to their colleagues.

This ceremony is part of the annual "Sheriff's Week" in New York State.
