School Bus Hit By Tractor Trailer in Pembroke

A roadway was closed for part of the day after a crash between a school bus and a tractor trailer in Genesee County.

It happened on Route 5 between Wortendyke Road and Hopkins Road in the town of Pembroke. Our Buffalo affiliate, WIVB-TV, reports that the bus made a stop to pick up a preschool student. The trailer rear-ended the bus and caused it to flip over into a yard. One child was on the bus at the time of the crash. The child was taken to the hospital without any serious injuries.
