Police in the town of Greece are looking into several burglaries.
Police say the crimes happened on the border of Rochester and Northeast Greece, mainly in the area of Denise Road, Dewey Avenue, and Britton Road.
Police say the burglars have taken jewelry, small electronics, and cash, for the most part.
Most of the burglaries happened during daytime hours.
Several investigators are working on the case, and police have increased patrols in the area.
In the meantime, they say homeowners should be on alert, "locking doors, making sure your windows are secure. If you have an alarm system, use it. If you're going to be away from your house for any extended period of time, maybe letting a neighbor know," says Captain Brian Uhrmacher, of the Greece Police Department.
Police are also reaching out to other law enforcement officers, "our investigators are working on it and we're in contact with investigators from adjoining agencies as well to see if there may be any similarities in any crime patters that they may be dealing with," says Captain Uhrmacher.
Police do have some leads, they have not named any suspects in the case.
If you have seen any suspicious activity in your neighborhood you're asked to call the Greece Police Depatment at 585-581-4000.
