The Rochester Museum and Science Center is celebrating a big birthday.
The museum held a celebration this afternoon to mark 100 years. The museum was actually built on Edgerton Park on the city's west side, 100 years ago. It moved to East Avenue in the 1940's.
A huge birthday cake that's been on display for several weeks now made its way back to the museum today.
"You can't take this for granted. To keep an organization growing and changing and keeping with the times is a really amazing, wonderful thing," said Kate Bennett, RMSC president.
Everyone who attended today received a white pine seedling to plant at home.
