Mohamed Elshrif is from Tripoli, Libya, just over 600 miles from where the Ambassador was killed in Benghazi.
Right now, Elshrif is a graduate student at R.I.T.
Since news of the attack on the ambassador broke, Elshrif has been glued to the internet, communicating with friends on facebook.
He hopes the Libyan prime minister will act quickly to help keep his country moving in the right direction, and his friends and family safe.
Mohamed keeps in contact with his family through internet messenging.
We had the opportunity to speak with his brother Osama about the mood among the people in his city of Tripoli.
He says the word on the street is that the attack was carried out by an organized group; a theory that supports the latest reports from top level U.S. officials.
