Jayden Forrester survived a broken jaw and other injuries after her aunt's pit bull bit her face just over a week ago.
It's been less than 24 hours since Jayden left the hospital. The 3-year-old was there for nine days.
Her parents say they are shocked by the speedy recovery. Justin and Malissa say their daughter came home Monday afternoon acting like a normal toddler.
On Tuesday, Jayden was busy blowing bubbles, eating and playing. As far as Jayden's medical needs, Justin says there is one more surgery needed on her tear duct. That will take place several months from now.
The family won't be able to tell how much cosmetic surgery Jayden needs until she heals. They do say Jayden's recovery is nothing short of a miracle.
"They were talking months and here we are not even two full weeks after, and she knows she's hurt but she's not letting it hold her back from being herself. I mean she's right back to her same normal, loving happy self. It's just great," said Justin Forrester.
Justin says the pit bull was put down following the attack.
There is an online fundraiser to help cover Jayden's medical bills. If you would like to donate, visit http://www.indiegogo.com/JaydenForrester
