The Genesee County teen charged for the death of her boyfriend in a golf cart crash was sentenced Thursday.

Cortney Greene, 18, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison plus five years probation. Prosecutors say Greene was driving a golf cart on Byron-Holley Road when it was hit from behind by another vehicle. Both Greene and her boyfriend, Zachary Rusin, were thrown from the cart. Rusin died from his injuries.

Greene has been ordered to pay restitution to Rusin's family. Her license has been revoked.
