Flags At Half-Staff For Slain Oswego Soldier

Flags on state buildings will be at half-staff Friday in honor of an Oswego soldier who died in Afghanistan.

Specialist Kyle Rookey died Sunday in Jalalabad. The Department of Defense says his death was non-combat related. Rookey was assigned to the 4th Brigade special troops battalion in Fort Carson, Colorado. He was 23 years old.
