Report: Genesee Brewery Being Sold

As Genesee Brewery gets ready for its grand opening of a multi-million dollar brew house, there is word that the company may be up for sale.

Reuters is reporting that KPS Capital Partners is considering a sale of North American Breweries. North American is based in Rochester and owns Genesee Brewery. The company just pumped millions into a new brew house and visitors center at the landmark brewery. The grand opening celebration is Saturday. In a statement, North American Breweries said it will not comment on speculation of a sale. It employs more than 500 people in Rochester.
