The message from the Greece School District to start the year is there will be zero tolerance for bullies. This is in the aftermath of the video of bus monitor Karen Klein being taunted and harassed. That video went viral and gained international attention.

This school year, the district has new programs in place to prevent that from happening again. Now bus drivers and monitors are required to report bullying incidents each day in writing, and then refer them to school administrators for investigation, and appropriate discipline.

"We see it firsthand, now our response will be not just to our supervision, but also to a school and to a parent to let them know we're aware of it and we respond," says current Greece bus monitor, Linda Cipura.

Reports and discipline will be monitored by school principals. Parents will be notified of any referrals and disciplinary actions their children receive.
