State police say 40-year old Glenn Manzek raped a 15-year-old girl at his Fairport home and in a Fairport Little League parking lot in Perinton.
Neighbors of Manzek say they're shocked by the allegations. Police say Manzek has been a substitute teacher for six years.
"Sometimes parents really need to be in touch with what their children are doing, who they are associating with, certain sexual offenders will take on capacities that puts them near children," said Lt. James Greenwood.
Manzek was a substitute teacher at six different school districts. Those include Victor, Pittsford, Fairport, Gates, East Irondequiot and Brighton.
"There was a connection to the fact that he was a substitute teacher, however the incident did not take place on school property. It did not take place when school was in session," said Greenwood.
Manzek is charged with two counts of rape, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. In one case, police say Manzek is accused of leaving his three children, who are under the age of four, home alone to pick up the teenager.
"We have no indication that there are any other victims at this time. However, as a safety net, the circumstances of this are somewhat troubling, so that's why we want to ensure that there are no other victims out there," said Greenwood.
If anyone has any information, you are asked to call Investigator Bryan Blum at 279-0144.
Manzek was released on bail. He will appear in court on Monday.
