Anthony Cannella, 51, has been charged with robbery, kidnapping and grand larceny. Police say Cannella approached the woman outside of St. Josephat's Church on East Ridge Road. He asked to use the bathroom inside. When he left the bathroom, he pulled a knife on the woman and forced her into her car, demanding money and her belongings. Police say Cannella forced the woman to withdraw money from her account. Cannella was arrested after police received several tips from other agencies and the community.
Cannella remains in the Monroe County Jail. He will be back in Irondequoit Town Court Wednesday.
