Robach Against Thruway Toll Hike For Truckers

By: WROC-TV
Updated: August 27, 2012
State Senator Joe Robach is the latest lawmaker to weigh in on the debate over a proposed 45 percent Thruway toll hike for truckers.

Robach says the increase would have negative effects on small businesses and drivers across upstate New York. Governor Cuomo recently stated that toll revenue will play a key role in paying for the $5.4 billion upgrade of the Tappan Zee Bridge. It connects Rockland and Westchester counties. If enacted, the toll increase would take place in October.
