Karen Klein Starts Anti-Bullying Foundation

By: Tina Shively
Updated: August 19, 2012
Karen Klein is using some of the money raised in her name to start a new foundation to help bullying victims.

She tells News 8 she put $75,000 toward the Karen Klein Anti-Bullying Foundation.

She added "We're hoping to get other people to put money in it, and this is going to be for education for people that have been bullied, for people that need it for this situation."

People from around the world helped raise more than $700,000 for Klein after video of her being bullied on a Greece bus went viral in June.

Klein says they are still working on the specifics of the foundation, but plan to make a formal announcement at the end of the month.

She is also looking at possibly donating to charities, as well as giving some of the money to her family.

Klein is headed to Disneyland with her family on Friday.
