More Seats Added For U.S. Women's Soccer Game

By: WROC-TV
Updated: August 20, 2012
There is an update for fans of the gold medal winning U.S. Woman's Soccer team as we await a game to be played here in Rochester.

The President of Sahlen's Stadium tells News 8 that bleachers will be added to seat more fans when Pittsford native Abby Wambach and the team play host to Costa Rica on September 1st.

That could mean up to 1,000 additional seats, but there's no word yet when those tickets will go on sale. Tickets were supposed to go on sale Friday morning.

U.S. Soccer decided to halt the sale after more than 1,100 tickets were sold in the pre-sale. We expect more information from the federation as early as Monday.
